Youth Privacy & Safety

How this project protects young players, families, sensitive stories, and future fund applicants.

This is a youth-focused project. Privacy, dignity, and safety take priority over content, growth, fundraising, or publicity.

Publishing rules

  • Never publish another child’s name, image, voice, team details, or story without written parent or guardian permission.
  • Never publish financial hardship details or fund application information.
  • Never publish a player’s home location, school timetable, exact training schedule, travel itinerary, or real-time location.
  • Do not criticize or identify specific clubs, coaches, players, officials, or families in reflection content.
  • Use first name only for youth stories unless a family provides explicit written permission for more.
  • A parent or guardian reviews sensitive content before publication.
  • Remove identifying details that are not necessary to the story.

Claims and fundraising

  • Never promise recruitment, team selection, scholarships, admission, or any other outcome.
  • Describe the Opportunity Fund as a student-led community initiative.
  • Do not call it a charity or issue tax receipts unless it becomes legally registered and authorized.
  • Use written eligibility, privacy, selection, conflict-of-interest, payment, record-retention, and complaints procedures before accepting applications or money.
  • Obtain qualified legal and accounting advice before the pilot begins.

Forms and data

Public forms should collect the minimum information needed. Sensitive fund applications must not use a general contact form. Before the fund launches, the project needs a secure, access-controlled application process, a retention and deletion schedule, adult oversight, and a clear consent record.
